This is a VERY old fashioned shrub. It gets it's name I imagine, from the ease, grace and elegance it gives once
mature. Almost like that of a cascading bridal veil. This is my explanation...google for yourself if you want a more "garden-y" answer. We took out a faux lilac this spring and replaced it w/this bridal wreath. I call it faux lilac b/c it was a wanna-be...from what the neighbors say....it has never flowered and was just sick looking and U-G-L-Y. It hasn't flowered the 3 years we've been here and was 1/2 dead. So my DH chopped er' down for me....and left me with......more empty space to fill up! WOO HOO!
