Blast from the Past!

This is a dear friend of mine from.....high school. Long story short: I met Elwood through his cousins when I was in um......summer of 9th of 10th grade. I can't remember? YIKES. He was always a Godly example to me and I praise God for sending his frienship along during those public high school years. I had no youth group, no peers that were believers that I could hang out with. He and his cousins and family were a God thing at that point in my life.

Well, that was ages ago...Now he has a beautiful, wonderful wife and 5 great kids. They are serving the Lord at RVA (Rift Valley Academy) in Kijabe, Kenya Africa. They have been home on furlough this past year and are preparing to leave in August. While camping over on Lake Michigan they were able to swing into the campground for a few hours and we could connect once again. It will be years again before they will be home again, Lord willing. I am so thankful for Christian friendships. They truly are enduring and last a lifetime. Tayler and Natalie are excited for a pen pal from Africa as the girls hit it off right away. Thanks for stopping in you guys! We LOVE you! Posted by Picasa
