I found this last week and thought it something worth pondering:
Cell Phones vs. The Bible
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones?
What if we always carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible?Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our bible being disconnected because Jesus has already paid the bill.

Karen - Oh, my WORD!!!!! It's so funny what this computer age has done! I was so SHOCKED to see your comment on my blog. Even more shocked that I actually (sort of) remember who you are!! (I am only 29 and I remember SO LITTLE!) Although, I must say that it's been QUITE a few years since you guys attended our church in MN! So - how is Kurt doing? I had to look all the way back in your archives to find a picture of you to make sure that I was thinking of the right person!!!
Hey, e-mail me at crhbmitchellfam@juno.com and I'll give you Heidi's info... I don't really want to post it on the web: you understand.
Thanks for leaving the comment... it's great to get in touch with you!
