Living Proof --picture posted above

Okay, here is the scoop. I stepped outside to take out the garbage today. I was hit (not suprisingly though) with a tidal wave of warmth. Tis' been the story of this winter. We've worn coats maybe to count on one hand. (and that was back in October when it was cold!) I've told my mom and others in Minnesota how warm it has been here and while their's has been warm too, they've had snow and my in-laws have been skating with all the cousins over Christmas on their pond.

Well--yes--these are pansies that have resprouted themselves into thriving new growth! Just in case you've forgotton, it's January 5th today. In Michigan!
This pot sits outside my front door, typically awaiting spring to plant a new batch of something from the nursery. This batch of pansies just seems to be waiting for some sunshine to push some flowers through? Im probably disillusioned by the green-ness, but WOW. Makes me itch for spring--funny since we didn't even have Winter!
