If ever there was a blog worth reading. I would recommend this one. This is the original post that piqued my interest. Then I read it. If understanding Reformed Theology has been something you want to try and grasp, I suggest starting here w/this story.

Blessings in Christ,

I also enjoy checking that blog from time to time.
Al Mohler opened the door for me the other night. And he comes in the bookstore pretty much every week.
I just can't wait until March when John Piper comes to speak in chapel, and MAYBE I'll see him at the bookstore, too!
You work at a book store? How can you stand that? I'd have my house mortgaged 3 times over to pay for them. How cool to meet and rub shoulders with such great minds of faith! Josh and I were talking today about what a small world this is--the blogging community and how I just hooked up with you w/in days of you moving to Louisville and seeing Josh. WOW. God's kingdom is SO small!
Oh, to own a book store, where I selected what was for sale...and oh, a little tea shoppe off to one side.....and many comfortable places to sit down and enjoy the pages....ah.....oh shoot, wake up....must be a dream.
I'm totally with you. . . owning a bookstore is an utter dream. I actually almost bought the children's store I used to work at 2 years ago, but I didn't thank goodness. . . it was not the Lord's will, and I see that now!
Yes, I work at LifeWay -- the campus bookstore here at Southern Seminary. I am training to become one of the assistant managers. Today I found out I will be writing checks -- YIKES! Chain stores freak me out, because they EXPECT to make money! I was more used to the little independent guy who I helped keep going! :)
Actually, it is not so hard not to buy too much. At my old job, they took our purchases out of our checks, which was fantastic. . . well, horrible depending on how you looked at it, and on how much you bought! I mostly did not get paid much during Christmas! Now, if I see something I really want, it is too much trouble to drag out the check book to buy it!
But I have been getting some free books!
