I've been tagged to write down 5 little known facts about me. As Im thinking, these things sound pretty boring...not funny, or amusing--but nonetheless, here they are!
1. I love classical music, opera, theater, plays. I would LOVE to know how to ballroom dance, you know the kind during the 1700-1800s. I just need to find a partner.
2. I would love to be a master gardener. (like take the course and everything!) To me flowers are a kind of balm to life.
3. Coached Volleyball while at Pillsbury College. (I coached at a local high school)
4. While I never graduated from college w/a degree or "real" job, I waitressed through college and while first married. It was the BEST job. If you like to talk (I do), like to eat (I do) and like to make money (who doesn't)---it is a fabulous job!
5. I've been scared of water my whole life. As a kid (2nd grader) at a pool party, I got knocked into the deep end of a pool and was taken out by lifeguard. Not unil 7th grade would I even go near water. Summer between 6th and 7th grade, I went to Arizona for a visit w/my cousin and my uncle (an absolute practical joker)threw me, clothed, into their pool. (I hardly knew this uncle) We'll I had to learn fast. I did learn to swim that summer--but am still afraid of water that I have no idea of depths. Despite that, I learned to waterski in highschool on Grindstone Lake, a very deep lake just West of the town I grew up in. There are points that have depths of almost 200 feet. The University of Minnesota brings students up to practice deep sea diving for some of their programs. To this day, I can't believe I learned to waterski there. I don't think I'd do it today.

I'm with you on #2, I'd love to be a master gardener. But I'm with your husband on #1... :-)
How did I not know about some of these events regarding the you & the water??? Either my memory fails me or you never told me!!
Yes, it happened at a birthday party. I want to say it was Jenny Schwartz's birthday, but I can't say that for sure. I was walking by the deep end to watch the "cool" kids jump off the diving board and I got bumped in by someone running by. I never tried in swimming lessons (too much) because I was too fearful of the water and didn't want to advance to the dreaded "deep end" Oh, the things kids don't tell their parents. :0
