This past Friday/Saturday--our co-op women drove to a retreat center to plan our year of Tapestry of Grace. TOG is an amazing history/literature curriculum that a group of homeschooling moms in our church use. We meet on Mondays and have TOG classes according to age in the morning, and afternoon electives.
This is our third year and someone came up w/the brilliant idea to get away for two days and PLAN our year. This year is the 19th Century--Year 3 of TOG. So while we didn't have much sleep and the circuits of my mind were ready to short out b/c of all the information...it was so productive and helpful.
One thing we did was order the whole years worth of books TOG recommends from our libraries. We brought them up and the leadership team organized them by Unit and then by level. So we were able to browse through all the books before purchasing any or borrowing any. It was super. I think we had over 500 books to peruse!
