Schooling Fun
The top picture is the kids playing w/their Math-u-see blocks.
The second one is while listening to examples of romantic and classical music, they were dancing to the different music. They had fun and got a little silly.
Do you like the "Math you can see" curriculum? One of my friends uses it, and it seemed like a nice change from Saxon, which everyone else I know uses.
Yes, I like it and so do the kids. I like his approach to showing place value and it has helped all of them break up the pages of work with the visual aid (instructional DVD) at the beginning of each new lesson.
The idea he (Steve Demme) has of watch, see, do and teach it back, I think is a good approach. We did Saxxon for several years and a little Abeka, I think this will be a good switch for us all. We did go back to earlier math for everyone as his approach is a little different. But I've felt thats been good and he seems to show the concept in it's whole rather than just portions of the concept, like I felt Saxxon did.
My only regret is that we didn't start with it from day one. I think it would've been better.

We have used Math-U-See since we started homeschooling three years ago and like it. My boys enjoy building with the math blocks too.
