I've been lagging on the BLOG end of things. My world is always busy...yet I'm finding it quite difficult to find time to BLOG as I used to. Don't get me wrong, I love to write and journal, so that is the fun part. I love hearing other opinions from those who email me or post remarks. I love the people that I've met via this cyber world.
My time has been primarily focused on schooling the kids and taking them to every activity they are in. Then the big '3' C's. Cooking, cleaning and caretaking. Then my passion reading, which is right now....Team of Rivals--it's only eight hundred some pages....so you see time is rare. Also.....I think it's easy for me to spend too much time on here. I love learning something new about the latest thing we are studying in history, or looking up questions I have in theology, or searching for a new recipe, or ordering the best volleyball for my girls online, but.....thats where it seems to end.
I am debating creating a blog for discussion purposes of history (my favorite subject to discuss), theology and life in general, while leaving this one for the photos/stories of my kiddos for my family out-of-state to stay connected. Does anyone have an opinion on this or do most of you just post everything on one BLOG? Which do you prefer from blogs you frequent?
I've recently been roped into the world of Facebook. I have no idea how it happened. But it did and now my teen and college age friends are teasing me that I've gotten 'with it'. Funny, with a 7th grade daughter, I thought I was pretty 'with it'
So...while I haven't posted for awhile....I still blogs here and there....just kind of feel like life w/the 4 kiddos has hit me square in the face and it's consuming me. So stay tuned....my goal while in Minnesota for 2 weeks, is to take some time to prioritize my life and simplify--hopefully with the help of my MIL, hangin' with the kids...I can do that!
Happy December!

I've gotten into the facebook thing too as you know but I still love my blog. I especially use it to keep up with family/friends around the country. Those readers also have to put up with my many book reviews and school system thoughts...I dare not put school system thoughts where they could be connected to my real name somehow.
I have found with facebook that I'm keeping up with even more people as well as playing fun games like scrabble and ninja. Good times! :) Online is really the only way I keep up with your family and I would be sad if you stopped blogging. As would my parents who love to read your blog.

Thanks Lisa! I'm glad you have yours as well. I laugh very frequently over the antics of the schoolroom and what you must have to deal with! Sometimes I *GULP* don't know what I'd do in your case, laugh in their face or scream! Ha Ha
Love you!
I tend to post everything on one blog. I think it would be hard to keep up more than one blog, at least for me.
I also recently joined facebook and found it fun to connect with old friends, including ones I haven't seen for 20 years.
Morning Rose, I just joined facebook as well, and a friend invited me. Well, after keeping the invite in my email in box for weeks, I finally was cleaning up my inbox and thought I'd better just sign up. I have NO idea how so many people got an "invite". How do you connect w/people from 20 years ago? That would be fun for me as well?
In facebook, when you edit education in your profile, there's a place to search for people you went to high school and college with. I found 3 people I remember from high school. We'll have to connect on facebook. :)
Karen,
I am thinking about starting a blog for my children's ministry stuff, and separating it from my books and other stuff. But like you, I don't know for sure if I'll have the time to be diligent about it. I don't want to start something I can't stay with for months and even years.
I think if I had kids and I was posting family stuff for relatives, etc., I would want another separate "thinking" blog. I would read both your blogs, if you decide to do that! :)

I would stick with one blog. That's simplifying. 2 would just create MORE WORK in my opinion. :-) But you asked. 4 kids...homeschooling...yeah, busy doesn't begin to describe you. I pray to the Lord I will be in your shoes in 10 years. You are so incredibly blessed to have 4 of the most beautiful, healthy children. I want 4 kids so badly I can taste it. AND I really, really, really have a HUGE heart for homeschooling. I have so much passion for educating Caleb and future little Fuges!! Blessings this holiday season. ;-)
