Two Outs in one Play

If you look closely at Sawyer's face, you will see it is beat red, thats because it was in the mid 90's and humid. We had pretty much swam all day and then been at baseball all evening w/not much break from the heat. Combine that w/catcher's equipment and playing baseball....HOT.

It was pretty exciting. Usually playing catcher at the 5/6 year old age, they don't "get" catching the popped up balls from the batter. Well there was a runner at 3rd and the hitter popped up the ball, Sawyer caught it and then tagged the 3rd base runner coming home, for two outs. It was pretty exciting!

Sawyer got the game ball that evening. Each kid gets the game ball througout the season. This was his night!
