Turnagin Arm

This is right across the street from Larry and Bev's house. We climbed about 1/2 mile through dense brushy stuff to gain this view of the Turnagain Arm. This is a unique place that has amazing tidal changes called Bore Tides. The tide comes and goes at an alarming rate, in upwards of 40 feet and it comes quickly. We witnessed it twice, but the rest of the time when we drove by, the tide was out. It was amazing. They strongly advise never to walk out on the sands when the tide is out, becuase it acts just like quick sand when the tide starts to come in. People have lost their lives walking out for a view.
