If you are just checking in, where the stove sits there used to be a wall.
Still to do: trim and baseboard, kickplate, crown molding, tile backsplash and over and under cabinet lighting.
Done: Almost everything!!!!
Blairs folks were here for 9 days. The dad and the grandpa got most of the cabinet doors up--which was so great for me! It hides the junk and finishes it off so beautifully!

Wow - what a difference! Lookin' good!
Remodeling our kitchen is a goal for this year, but we will see if it actually happens. Yours looks great! We aren't doing any demo, just new cabinets and countertops, and if I get my way, a new floor too! Your post inspired me to document the change, too!
Its quite an undertaking! We did 100% ourselves except for of course the Corian Countertops. Blair built the cabinets and doors in our little one car garage. His dad came over to help w/the doors. Im very pleased with the results. Did you go back to the posts from October and November? Thats when I did day by day through the process.
I hope you get to do yours. The key (as a woman) is to have patience and flexibiltiy. I was about 1 month w/o a sink. That was the hardest part. We ate lots of meals out and lots of lunch meat sandwiches and cereal. But..it was SO worth it!
I checked out all the pictures from October and November, and WOW! what a project! It looks great, though. I think I'll just sit on the fact that Blair built all the cabinets. Dan has talked about it, but if he did, I'd go longer than a few months with a demolished kitchen! Did it save you a ton of money to do it that way?
